NTX Doodles

Our Policies & Procedures

Picking your puppy is done on a first come first serve basis. At four weeks of age we will allow those who have put down deposits to come pick their new family member. This will be done in the order that we received your deposit. Your puppy will be identified and maintained through a color-coding collar system. Families can schedule their selection visit at our facility or via a video-call if unable to appear in person.  We will not allow visitors prior to 4 weeks of age. We want to insure the health of the puppies and to prevent accidental infection from germs and bacteria. We also do this to limit any stress on the mother and pups at this critical stage of development.  We will make every effort to keep pictures and videos up to date on our website so that you can watch your puppy grow over the next 3-4 weeks after your selection. At age 7-8 weeks, you can contact us to schedule your pickup! So Exciting!

All of our puppies will be seen by our veterinarian at least one time before going to their forever home.  Dewclaws will be removed. Opinions on dew claws vary wildly. Do your research and make the decision that works best for you and your beliefs. There are numerous breeders who do not remove dewclaws, but we currently do.  Our vet will provide a wellness exam, and administer their first round of prevention medications/vaccinations . In addition to your puppy’s medical records and health contract, we will also include a starter kit of food that we’ve introduced into their diet and a complimentary 30 day pet insurance policy through Trupanion.

Warranty

We guarantee our puppies to to be healthy on the day you pickup.  We’ve attempted to answer some important questions below to provide you with confidence and peace of mind on this important purchase.

DEATH WITHIN 72 HOURS

Our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale. In short, there’s very little warranty or refunds we can offer once you leave our premise with a living creature that relies fully on your care as its new parent. However, if your new puppy should die within 72 hours after purchase, you will be fully refunded provided its death was a result of a health condition. No refund will be given if death is the result of accidents, choking, poisoning, or any other cause of death that was not directly related to an unforeseen preexisting health condition of the puppy. Hypoglycemic shock and death resulting from this condition is covered within 72 hours after leaving our premises. If your puppy were to die as a result of hypoglycemic issues within 72 hours, we will refund the purchase price of the puppy, but no delivery costs. Vet bills treating this condition are not covered.

DEATH WITHIN ONE YEAR

You will be eligible for a replacement puppy if your puppy becomes sick or dies within the first year as the result of a genetic condition. You will be required to provide my DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) written documentation from your DVM of any examinations, laboratory results, genetic test results, and any other necessary documentation requested by my DVM. A replacement puppy of the same breed/gender will be provided at the earliest availability (shipping is not included). If no replacement puppy is available within a 6 month time frame, you may request a full refund of the original purchase price. Living puppy must be surrendered to my DVM prior to receiving a refund. You agree to not hold NTX Doodles and its owners liable for any loss of income, expenses, vet bills, and/or pain and suffering you may incur, or any other legal or financial responsibilities you incur from the time of purchase. We only warranty against genetic related illness. Animals can get sick and/or die from any number of non-genetic conditions. You will not be eligible for a refund if your puppy gets sick or dies from conditions resulting from but not limited to; ingestion of poisonous foods (e.g. chocolate, grapes, etc), lung, throat or bowel obstructions, OTC or improperly administered medicines, environmental and industrial poisons/toxins, gets hit by any vehicle, or runs away.

OTHER HEALTH ISSUES

Worm and/or parasite infections are outside of our control once you take possession of your puppy. We will not warranty against any future worm or parasite infections. You will receive a puppy that has been properly treated with de-wormer medication. As a new pet owner you bare the full burden of responsibility to provide your dog with standard veterinary care for the duration of its life. This standard care includes but not limited to; annual heart worm checks, heart worm and parasite prevention medications, rabies shots and vaccinations for diseases common to dogs, as well as care for common grooming needs such as nails, fur, coat, bur removal from coat, ear cleaning, and proper nutrition and hydration. Failure to comply with and provide documentation of the above requirements voids any good-faith warranty that might be considered to exist beyond the scope of the aforementioned warranty conditions. We give no guarantee on the quality or color of your dog’s coat. It is normal for a dog’s hair/coat color to fluctuate and change throughout its life. We do not warranty or cover any costs associate with potential dental or cosmetic concerns related to under-bites or overbites. Umbilical hernias may show-up as your dog ages and is a natural risk in the process of being born. We do not cover any cost of surgery related to hernias should your puppy have any problems associated with one.

BREEDING RIGHTS

The reproductive and breeding rights of your puppy are yours. You can choose to breed or stud your animal at your discretion. We hope that you will follow AKC’s Guide to Responsible Dog Breeding should you make the decision to enter into the breeding business.
